I am most sorry to hear of your recent loss. Please know that I am praying with and for you during this difficult time of grief. It is my honor and privilege to be of assistance to you and your family.

We as Catholics believe not only in the immortality of the soul, but also in the resurrection of the body. Therefore, we profess hope in the face of death through the funeral rites. The Church provides a number of prayers for the faithful in order to (1) accompany the dying of a loved one, and (2) to strengthen our faith upon their death. Through private prayer and public funeral rites, we strengthen our faith and hope, comfort those who mourn, and bury the bodily remains of the deceased with care befitting what was the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

I made this page to provide you the resources needed to prepare a funeral liturgy in accordance with the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. Please read the resources first, then fill out the form to the right***. Do not worry if you need help or feel overwhelmed by the information. ***Please note that I can only offer Funeral Masses/Services if they take place within my pastoral territory - which is currently Christ the King Mission Church in Benton, PA / Bloomsburg Catholic Campus Ministry Bloomsburg, PA. If you are having a funeral outside of this area, first contact the funeral home you are using as well as the local priest and parish about your situation.

Please note that a Eulogy is NOT required for the liturgy. In fact, I often recommend that people do the eulogy during the wake. But if you are going to do a Eulogy before the official start of the Mass or Service, please keep it to one person for only 5 minutes. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions
